I had a bunch of things on my to do list today - I wanted to try an Irish Stew in my new slow cooker, make a new chocolate chip cookie with brownie chunks recipe, and we had to take down the Christmas Tree. With all the heart ornaments on our tree, I thought I might take a picture of the pile of them together before I put them away. It felt a little like cheating since this was the first official day I had the opportunity to be creative. And then Rob started putting the ornaments away before I had the chance to take a picture!
I ended up emptying one of my spice bottles while I was preparing the stew, and it was such a cute little bottle that I wanted to do something with it rather than put it in the recycling bin. Bonus that I got to use some of my bakers twine!
On a side note, our tree was still so pretty! It was still green and thirsty - even after being up for a month and a half - and not getting any water refills while we were away for two weeks. Always sad to see it go...
