Day Forty-Six: Pizza

For Valentine's Day, I gave Rob what he loves most:  pizza.  With heart shaped pepperoni.  It was good, although I managed to crack the glass on the oven door during the process of making it. Being the perfect Valentine, Rob figured out how to get it fixed for me.

Day Forty-Five: Valentine's Day

Every year for as long as I can remember, and probably from before I was born, my Mom has made these exact cookies to share with the people she loves.  The sugar cookie recipe came from my Grandma.  I do my best to cary on this yummy tradition. It takes me all weekend, but Mom can do it in one day!

Day Forty-four: Fundraising

Every year ILM has a fundraiser for AIDS/Breast Cancer Emergency Relief.  This year I thought it might be fun to sell cookies!  There will be three choices:  come and decorate your own cookie (3.00), have a special name cookie made and packaged (5.00) or bring a kit to bring home and do with your family (10.00).  I hope people have fun and donate lots of money!

Day Forty-Three: Spoon

The most important ingredient in every recipe:  Love.  It looks a lot like flour, doesn't it?

Day Forty-Two: Collar

I'm a couple days behind, but I'm going to catch up real quick.  First, I had to make my favorite valentine a special collar.  Doesn't she look pretty?

Day Forty-One: Calla Lily

I found this little plant at the grocery store.  I've never seen a double calla lily like this - and to me, it kind of looks like a heart.  Our florist used some of these calla lilies at our wedding - so they are extra special to me.

Day Thirty-Forty: Tag

I don't know why I love tags so much.  I definitely need to give more gifts so that I have an excuse to make more tags.

Day Thirty-Nine: Cards

Doodled a couple of heart gardens to make into cards today.

Day Thirty-Eight: love song

I know this is Pearl Jam, but it somehow makes me think of my husband.

Day Thirty-Seven: Korn

Did I cheat today?  I don't know... maybe.  I made this kettle korn for the superbowl, and then I arranged it into a heart for this picture.  So technically I made a heart - but really I just didn't have time for other crafting.  I ended up displaying the korn in a line because it seemed more superbowl-y.  People really seemed to like it.

Day Thirty-Six: Surrounded

It's Saturday morning and I'm sitting in my red chair by the fire making lists and thinking about the busy weekend and figuring out how I will make time for hearts.  I looked up, and there is my dog perfectly situated between two hearts. (thanks for making the pillows, Mom!)  These aren't good quality pictures because I literally turned the computer around and snapped them using photo booth.  Now I am forced to get up though, because I have to go squeeze that little ball of warm dog.

Day Thirty-Five: Grid

Another busy day.  Hair done over a long lunch, and I arrived home with warm Panchos and Eat, Pray, Love.  I haven't devoted as much time to hearts this week, and with the superbowl this weekend, that trend might continue.  But I made this little grid of water color hearts.  Maybe it's my Andy Warhol phase.

Day Thirty-Four: Doodle

Just a little water color doodle for today (with bonus glitter).  My heart time was unexpectedly taken up by my tire blowing up. Rob came to my rescue, and we still got to have Panda for Chinese New Year.

Day Thirty-Three: Breakfast

My husband is a pretty great guy.  He has been having some stressful days, and he really likes breakfast sandwiches.  That was my inspiration for today. He said this may have been his favorite heart so far.

Day Thirty-Two: Clips

February first... only 13 days until Valentine's Day!  I made these little sets to give to some of my favorite gals.  They have a pony tail holder and two little hair clips for the little girls, and then a matching pin for Mommy to wear.  I may make a couple more sets too.
